Handmade Copper Lanterns from Cape Cod

We are often asked by custom Home Builders, Contractors and Architects what are the most popular handcrafted copper lanterns chosen to adorn their custom built homes. These lanterns line driveways, compliment fine entrances and hang from porch ceilings.

The Tonset Hanging Lantern

The six-sided Tonset Hanging or Post Lantern is an adaptation of a captain's brass lantern found on many 17th century ships, including Old Ironsides. Ceiling canopy measures 5" diameter by 1.5" high. Width and height dimensions can be changed.

The Wellfleet Wall Lantern

An original design inspired by the Dickerson family of Wellfleet, Massachusetts. Popular today for its simple yet functional design. Ceiling canopy measures 5" diameter by 1.5" high.

The Nova Onion Lantern

The Wall and Post Onion Lantern is an adaptation of copper onion lighting first used in this country on fishing schooners as nighttime working lights. They were popular, as the onion globe, by design, was unbreakable and protected the flame from wind and rain. Post Onion extra-large features two horizontal guards. Height dimension can be changed. Small onion, with special back box, is available for side post installation. Post collar adapter is available for flat surface installation.
